I personally find it weird that they use yasuke as a protagonist. Not directly because of his skin color but because we arent sure that he was a samurai. Ive seen people say that he was actually more of a jester with rank. And as fizhy pointed out he is the first actual historical character used as a protagonist. For me the big issue is that they went and changed wikipedia to make this make sense. They easily couldve just made a fictional japanese samurai and they wouldve had no problems. And this isnt a woke thing because as western company the japs are minorities too so "representation" as an argument doesnt work. To me this smells like scummy business practice.

i was one that thought an ac game in japan would be cool and i got it in ghost of tsushima, the trailer was cool but it looks like shadows is going to be like odissey, i don't think i like the separate characters one a shinobi the other a samurai, ghost has ninja and samurai in one character and i'm still waiting for an ac game where i play as an assassin of the creed not a insert warrior type here,in a insert country and time period here, type of game ubisoft has been doing since origins, so i'm waiting for more to be shown although playing as a japanese samurai is already out lol
